Book Appointment →Mental health is health. At Cronulla Medical Practice, we provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about how you are feeling — whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or something you cannot quite name.
Our GPs can create a Mental Health Treatment Plan (also known as a Mental Health Care Plan), which gives you access to Medicare-rebated sessions with a psychologist, counsellor, or other mental health professional. Under a care plan, you can receive up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions per calendar year with a Medicare rebate.
We take the time to understand your situation and connect you with the right support. If you need a referral to a psychiatrist or specialist service, we will arrange that. If you are in crisis, we can provide immediate support and connect you with crisis services.
You do not need to be in crisis to talk to your GP about your mental health. If you have been feeling persistently low, anxious, overwhelmed, or not yourself, that is reason enough to book an appointment.
Book a long consultation (20 minutes) with any of our GPs. This gives your doctor enough time to discuss your situation, assess your needs, and create a Mental Health Care Plan if appropriate. Bring any previous mental health records or a list of current medications.
